Master of Public Health (MPH) is a two-year postgraduate degree for people working in or entering the health sector, covering epidemiology, biostatistics, health systems, health policy and programme management.
Most programmes accept graduates from medicine, nursing, public health and allied health backgrounds, and several run schedules that suit working professionals. A research thesis and a field practicum are normally required.
Graduates lead health programmes for government, INGOs and hospitals, and work in monitoring, evaluation and health research.
