Master of Education (M.Ed.) is the two-year postgraduate degree for teachers and education professionals, taken in a specialisation such as English, Nepali, Mathematics, Science, Curriculum, or Educational Planning and Management.
The course deepens subject and pedagogical knowledge and adds research methods, evaluation and educational administration, ending with a thesis or research report.
It is the usual requirement for higher secondary and campus level teaching, for school leadership posts, and for promotion within the teaching service.
