Master of Business Studies (MBS) is the postgraduate degree that follows BBS at Tribhuvan University campuses, and it is available in far more towns and at far lower cost than an MBA.

The two-year course covers advanced accounting, financial management, marketing, organisational behaviour and research methods, and finishes with a thesis or a field research report. Specialisation streams in areas such as accounting, finance and marketing are chosen in the second year.

Many students study MBS while working, and it is widely accepted for promotion, teaching posts and Public Service Commission examinations.
