Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is the standard teaching qualification for secondary school teachers in Nepal, offered by campuses across the country under Tribhuvan University and other universities.
Students take a specialisation subject — English, Nepali, Mathematics, Science, Health and Physical Education, or Population and Environment — alongside educational psychology, curriculum, evaluation and teaching methods, plus supervised practice teaching in a school.
It is the usual preparation for the Teacher Service Commission examination and for permanent teaching posts in community schools.
