Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW) teaches social work inside the Bachelor of Arts structure, so students take social work as their main subject alongside another humanities major such as sociology, psychology or rural development.

The professional content is close to BSW — casework, group work, community organisation and supervised field practice — but the degree keeps the broader arts base, which suits students who also want to sit public service examinations or study a humanities master's.

Check with the college whether the programme is registered as BASW or BSW, since colleges use the two titles loosely.
