Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNS) is a post-basic degree for nurses who have already completed a proficiency certificate level nursing programme and are registered to practise.
It builds on existing clinical experience with advanced nursing practice, teaching and supervision, health management, community health and research, so working nurses can move into senior clinical, teaching or administrative posts.
Duration and entry rules vary between universities, so confirm both with the college. Nurses coming straight from 10+2 should look at BSc Nursing instead.
