Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc Nursing) is a four-year degree taken directly after 10+2 science, unlike the post-basic nursing degrees that require a nursing certificate first.

Classroom teaching in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and nursing theory is combined with clinical practice in medical, surgical, paediatric, maternity, psychiatric and community settings from the first year.

Graduates register with the Nepal Nursing Council before practising, and many go on to hospital supervision, teaching or a master's in nursing.
