Bachelor of Laws (LLB) is the three-year law degree taken after completing another bachelor degree. Students who want to study law straight after 10+2 take the five-year BALLB instead.
The course covers constitutional law, contract, criminal law, property, procedural law, jurisprudence and international law, with moot courts and internships in law firms or courts.
After graduation, licensing by the Nepal Bar Council is required to practise as an advocate. Many graduates instead go into legal officer roles in government, banks and NGOs.
