Bachelor of Arts (BA) is the broad humanities and social sciences degree, taken with a combination of majors such as English, Nepali, Sociology, Economics, Political Science, Psychology, Rural Development or Mass Communication.
It is offered by campuses in every district of Nepal, is the cheapest bachelor degree at most public campuses, and is the usual preparation for the Public Service Commission examinations, for teaching, and for master's study in the humanities.
Many students take BA alongside a job, and it is also the standard entry route into a three-year LLB.
