Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering

Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering (BE Computer) is a four-year engineering degree offered by Tribhuvan University's Institute of Engineering, Kathmandu University, Pokhara University and Purbanchal University.

Unlike the IT bachelor degrees it starts from engineering fundamentals — mathematics, physics, electronics, digital logic and microprocessors — and builds up to operating systems, networks, databases, artificial intelligence and a major final year project.

Graduates register as engineers with the Nepal Engineering Council, which matters for many government and consultancy jobs.
